Is a degree earned through online schooling as valid as one earned in the classroom?

They want to earn a degree MFT, but not the schools in my area offer this level and I can not move. Is getting an online degree a good option for me? Or these securities considered less valuable to potential employers? It’s a waste of money and time? What school could be better? I have options for Capella University, Liberty University, graduates of the school and Di stream research center, university or Walden?

Online degrees are iffy. The best rule of thumb is to only go to a program that is 1) not for profit (several of the schools you listed are for profit) and 2) has some form of a brick and mortar campus.

MFT isn’t a good degree to do online because it is such a practical degree and you should be getting a lot of feedback from your professors and your fellow students.

Look into MSW programs. Most therapists in the US are MSWs and many of them do marriage and family counselling. Its generally a better degree than a MFT because it is easier to get insurance for your clients,

I don’t know much about those online schools. I prefer classroom instructions. First, check out if your state licensing board accept the school’s curriculum. Check to see if the accreditation board recognize them. Go to YA for feed back from people that may have finished from any of those schools and especially in the field you are interested in. Good luck.
